Microsoft introduces their version of Biden administration’s Zero-day security

Cyber criminals have shown resilience and annoyingly seem to remain 1-2 steps ahead.  As the modern workforce moves closer to a hybrid workforce, it has become clear that security measures need to be implemented regardless of where people choose to work.

Microsoft Security says they’re committed to assisting companies with this transition by implementing their version of Biden’s Zero-Trust security. Zero Trust would protect not only people, but their devices and apps too.

Why Zero Trust?

  • Work from anywhere
Users can work anywhere more securely
  • Cloud migration
The platform is already set up for remote access with security in place. Moving data to this platform would gain users access to these security measures, as well as being able to access data from any cloud-enabled device.

According to Microsoft, the Zero Trust approach would allow organizations to grant employees more freedom across all platforms, resulting in increased productivity and improved employee experience.

How Zero Trust intends to work cohesively

First and foremost, this large task can’t be done alone. It will require the work of multiple platforms, all working simultaneously.

  • AI and integration
Microsoft offers many services that assist with defending and warding off cyber threats. To get the best possible outcome, Zero Trust will need functionality from multiple platforms. The Sentinel allows multiple platforms to operate on its platform, which makes consolidating simpler. This is multitasking at its finest. Sentinel will take care of the smaller threats so the IT team can focus on the larger threats.
  • Compliance and identity
Microsoft 365 compliance center audits inventory and data risks, making sure they remain current with regulations and certificates. The Compliance manager’s machine helps sort through relevant data and measures the users progress toward completing necessary actions. All of this is complicated stuff is done with the machine automatically.
  • Consolidating protections
When consolidating unifying security, compliance, and identity, it not only improves productivity, but protects the entire environment, regardless of the device.
